FAQs
Below are some answers to frequently asked questions. If your question is not listed here, please contact us and we will do our best to help you out.
This is my first camp. I'm not sure where to start.
We are excited that you have booked in to Wilderness Camp and will help you in every way we can to complete the study. All attendees receive a set of Study Notes. We will also provide you with a Study Planner which breaks up the study into achievable goals. While you wait for these resources to come out, why don't you familiarise yourself with the subject by reading the chapters (maybe with help from different Bible translations) and create your own chapter breakup?
Where can I find my own study resources?
Here are some fantastic Christadelphian talks websites:
And you will find lots of good books at:
You may also like to check in with your Ecclesial library or some older Brothers & Sisters to ask if you can borrow some resources.
What are the Mentor Sessions?
The Mentor Program is a study preparation tool set up for all attendees, held monthly. In a group you have the opportunity to chat to an older couple about your study over Zoom, discuss questions you may have and share study resources. These sessions are designed to be flexible and everyone should be able to check in with their mentors briefly, even around your busy schedule. They are also a great way to meet some others attendees before the camp begins!
I am from interstate/overseas, how can I view the Prep Workshops?
We understand the workshops are more difficult when you are not here in person. We will Live Stream the Prep Workshops and these can be viewed on the Live Stream page. Recordings will be uploaded to the Study Resources page afterwards, along with any resources we have covered.
What if I don't get all my study done? Can I still attend the camp?
The main benefit of Wilderness Camp lies in your personal study beforehand, and the success of the camp depends on it. We therefore request that you to put time aside to complete your study before you get to the camp. Please contact us as soon as possible if you think circumstances are going to make completing the study difficult for you.
Refund policy?
If you choose not to attend prior to three weeks before the camp, you will receive a full refund of your fees. Your deposit covers the cost of your Notes, Workbook and postage, so once these have been posted to you unfortunately we are unable to refund your deposit.
